It’s a plug-in for Firefox and Chrome to replace ads sidebar in Gmail by social information such as profile, photos, links, recent Tweets of your contacts (friends, colleagues,…)
About privacy, you do not need to worry. You don’t need to offer your account password because you login via secure Google Federated Login, or OpenID. But it does access the contents of your email – that’s how it builds a service for you to use. Since it scans email address to fetch with other service, then bring back information according to that email, I think they (owner’s service) may store the data somehow in database. No warranty that they don’t use the data for their secret purpose B-) But no one can keep their privacy completely in the Internet. Like Google, any Gmail user know clearly that Google scans email content to fetch appropriate ads. So it’s no need to worry when you’re just a normal user.
Simply browse to http://rapportive.com/ to install the plug-in and begin to experience this new awesome service.
Here’s an example of how it looks like. The red square box is where Rapportive brings info to you.

This question came into my mind recently. Just 2-3 days ago, to download an ebook in a forum, I had to create a user account. It’s quite inconvenient. I think if someone wants to share their resource how can they make people to register an account to see the download link! Actually, whenever I meet a situation like that, well, I really feel annoying and instead of being thankful to that kind person, I just want to “Merdes” (jz kidding, I’m not that kind of person:).
I have just found a way to apply XP Style for my program in MFC. It’s really easy way to do. Just few seconds and you will have your application with XP Style. I read it few minutes ago and now I post it here for anybody who want a beautiful style for application.
